$40

Before I say anything about the cats I would like to say that I AM NOT HAPPY ABOUT SURRENDERING MY CATS and if you think the price is high please review all that comes with this sale.

There are a lot of extras included.

You will need a truck/SUV to haul everything.

I have two adorable, affectionate cats that I must find homes for before my deployment arrives in the next week or two (it was supposed to be May 12, but this is the government and no one can assume when or how they will act).

The cats are sisters from the same litter. They are 1 year old (born: April 15, 2014 during the blood moon) and are a gorgeous silky black in color with yellow eyes.

They are mainly house cats that WILL NOT run away if the door is left open.

It is a fact that they may go out and lay in the sun but, never venture further than about ¼ the way down my driveway. I am thankful that they have never wandered off and I can confess to having had the garage door open when I am doing yard work often.

LoverGirl - Answers to her name abbreviated as "LG" (pronounced: "EL-GEE") is slightly fluffier, enjoys mild attention after choosing when to come to you and at 11 lbs. is the heavier of the pair.

Weighing in at 7.5 lbs., is

Magic Mushroom, who answers to the name "Mooshi". Moosh, for short, loves, loves, loves being affectionate. She will come to you when called, jump into a chair via a verbal command and will sleep with you in a chair while you watch TV or read.

Seriously, If they (both) have the chance to sit with you, they will. This makes them both perfect lap cats. They will actually watch TV at times- REALLY!). On the nuttier side I tried to prove that images on Youtube.com would not gain the attention of my cats. Well I failed miserably trying to prove that.

Both cats are fans of "Games for Cats" on YouTube.

I let them watch it on my phone. It is amusing to watch. Want more fun? They love playing with a laser pointer and a basic crumpled up piece of paper is one of their favorite toys, even though I have spent decent money of cat toys.

Even just the sound of crumpling paper will beckon them into the room at a full sprint at times.

NOTE: The multitude of toys that they enjoy playing with will come with them.

Other important tidbits include the fact that both cats are fixed have all their shots, They don't mind dry food, but enjoy 9 Lives canned food once, sometimes twice a day (I buy the 32 can case) and I have a special way to announce that it is dinner time (Thank you Pavlov), which will make you laugh and the cats salivate! Their appetites are similar and they like everything put in front of them.

Oddly enough, only one cat enjoys cat treats. I tried buying several but, El Gee just doesn't get into treats like Mooshi does.

Mooshi's favorite treats are ANY of the Temptations brand of cat treat.

Also, neither begs at the table for food scraps.

That is a no-no rule in my home. So, thankfully it has NEVER been an issue with them.

In the evening they will enjoy mild playing but, would rather have a window or sliding door to look out of 24/7.

I can say that they do not claw furniture, drapes or walls, they seriously prefer the two jute mats I have that will come with them.

I also have stainless steel bowls, a plastic long term feeder and a smaller cat condo.

You will also receive the remainder of the cat food and treats (if any) and two litter boxes and a sifter/scoop for the liter-box and a bottle of Febreeze spray.

These two are perfect around new people and warm up quickly.

Another good thing about these two is that this is the perfect set up for getting all you need at one time.

Pick these two up and fill a bowl or two with water and you have instant pets and a completion to your home. These are faithful companions that are not like most cats… They will be happy to see you return home each day and you will feel that happiness… I promise you.

The only thing I can honestly say that I don't know about them is how they react to other animals and unruly children.

It truly breaks my heart to part with them. I have held off as long as I could but, now it is time for me to head off to work and that means deployment again… for a long time.

I felt that $20 each with all the aforementioned items would be a great deal for someone (You will find that the affection you receive from them is unparalleled and worth more than $40). If you are interested, please give me a call.

My options are few at this point.

I have called

Friends of Strays,

Pet Pal Rescue, Save Our Strays, Here Kitty-Kitty Adoption

and Second Chance For Strays.

They are all full.

Monday I will be calling the Humane Society, SPCA, and The Suncoast Animal League. The latter, I called a couple months ago and I was put on a list. They said they would call me the following week. They never did.

So, I called them. They told me that I was to be put on a list and would be called when availability opened up.

No call yet.

I will also try making posters to be pinned up in pet stores this weekend.

My last resort will be to have them both put to sleep, I guess… I don’t know. What else I can do.

I am very open to suggestions.

Even if you can foster them until I return, that much would be appreciated
